First Project Checklist

Initiating a complex organizational transition or multi-partner ecosystem project is both challenging and crucial. With thorough preparation and clear governance frameworks, you establish a solid foundation for long-term success. The Decernia First Project Checklist provides a structured approach to guide you deliberately through every phase of the project lifecycle.

Scope & Objectives

  • Establish absolute clarity regarding project scope, architecture deliverables, and expected outcomes. - Define precise objectives and acceptance criteria for final delivery.

Frameworks & Tooling

  • Identify required standards (e.g., NORA, GEMMA, GDPR, or NEN 7510) and modeling tools (ArchiMate). - Ensure necessary documentation templates (such as a Project Start Architecture template) are ready for use.

Advisory & Expertise Allocation

  • Determine if additional capacity or specialized domain architects are required and align resources early. - Establish clear agreements on project phasing, key milestones, and stakeholder engagement.
  1. Set up the project workspace and governance framework in accordance with Decernia guidelines.
  2. Host a kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders to align vision, goals, and architectural methodologies.
  3. Define concrete review gates and milestones for interim quality assurance and executive alignment.
